'Holidays' have now come and GONE!

I am in serious denial. I missed two classes today and will be missing tomorrow's to 'finish' work.. All I did today was borrow 3 books to finish up an essay..

It is BAD! I have so much work to do I NEED to start..

I have ONLY accomplished:
26.5 hours of work in TWO weeks,
procrastinating,
cleaning my cupboard,
procrastinating,
1500 words of my English Critical Essay out of 2000 words, (due THIS Friday)
Laziness,
400 words of my Draft story #2 out of 750 words, (due COMING Tuesday)
MORE LAZINESS,
............................................................................ And that is pretty much it!

Oh and did I mention, that I had an ALMOST PERFECT plan to be absolutely productive so that I can have a less stressful semester? I did..... DID NOT WORK!

So what is left to do in the next 4 weeks (of which will FLY by TOO QUICKLY) is a result of PURE LAZINESS AND PROCRASTINATION..

Allow me to present to you the workload for the next 4 weeks:
Four 500 word write ups for Health,
Three 400 word write ups for Education,
2500 word MAJOR education essay,
2000 word History essay (due in 2 weeks),
History Class Test,

Why am I here blogging?

Sigh!

Why did I go to the Barossa yesterday?
Because I knew it'd be a GREAT day! and it most certainly was! Xiao is the best! And Judah and David too! Besides, it was a public holiday!

Why did I go to Colbie Callait's concert tonight?
Because I knew I would not have done any work anyway! It was a good night too! Kate Miller was my best part of the night! She was pretty amazing! She's performing at The Gov again on the 15th of November! I'd like to go! :D

Tomorrow, I will be going to Hahndorf! Why? When I have a TRUCKLOAD of assignments to finish?
Because, I am currently still living the holiday lifestyle.

NOT GOOOOOOD!

I should go get some sleep now, and attempt to have an early start to the day! At least that way, I might have a less stressful day!

Today, I quite successfully managed to cut Misha's hair!

I have to say, I am quite proud of myself! hmmmm!

The best part is, Misha was totally cool about it.. She was excited.. Insisted to go shorter and she is VERY happy with the new cut!

It is not perfect.. Some parts are slightly longer than others.. It IS NOT PERFECT.. But it is my first time, so well done Nicci and MISHA!

Can't wait to hear what dad has to say! :D :D :D

Laziness. A characteristic (if so the word to use) so easily allowed to nest in our bodies. Tonight, that happened in 97kg me. After a 17 hour arduous day, I think laziness should be allowed in this body. 11.37pm, the house is quiet and peaceful. I sit on the floor of my room, with the heater blowing nice warm air toward me as the temperature freezes us at a -17 degree. I religiously study the latest happenings on facebook and gmail while chatting with my long term investment friend. The discrete sound of the door unlocking alerts my womanly senses that the race is on. 5 foot, greatly shaped assets, curly hair, tiny feet of a cousin is in the race against me. It sends me racing to the one place that gives me great delight here on earth; the bathroom. Tonight, I claim victory. The sweet feel of victory as the hot water refreshes me is breathtaking. Tonight, I won.

Ooh the feeling is spectacular!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Basically, I beat Sheena to the bathroom... I got to shower first tonight!

Today, has been one of those days, where you would like to crawl under your covers and sleep the day away.. Or, even watch movie after movie after movie so that you have the privilege of living in a land of fantasy, where guys like Dan Humphrey and Cappi exist.. relationships are easy.. girls like Serena Van Der Woodsen have life so easy.. parents have no control.. and life is all about fraternities and sororities.. GOODNESS.. It has been a long while..

Well.. Nothing too exciting has been happening!

Uni.. Well Uni has been good.. Very busy but good.. I definitely enjoy what i am studying now! It feels great! So excited.. Ever sat in class before, and thought to yourself.. WOW God.. I can't believe I am here.. Doing what i WANT to do.. And wow.. Sit and day dream in class about what you could do in the future.. ahhaha.. My God kinda rocks!!! :D :D
3 and a half more years and I already cannot wait to finish!!!! hahah.. I don't like assignments or exams.. SIGH! Lets see..

I travel about 2 hours to get to Uni.. And.. This semester its alright. all my classes start at 12pm and 1pm.. I leave the house around 10ish.. Next semester however, I start at 9am Monday-Wednesday.. Which means I have to leave about 7am! SIGH!!!! Not good semester.. !

My Uni is pretty BIG!

Wendy's??! Well.. Its good.. I guess.. have this SILLY senior, whom I am convinced is just RACIST or just MEAN.. Can't stand her.. And neither can the other girls.. SHEESH.. OH WELL... Job pays pretty well.. Allows me to at least buy my own bus tickets.. URGH!

Church? Church is GREAT! Love my girls.. They rock! Solid is definitely exciting.. SO many changes.. but it is very exciting! God is sooooooo good!

The last night of the year was a very different one when compared to all the other last days of all the previous years.. Firstly, it was a scorching 42.9 degree day! That sort of heat can cause one to murder another.. There was no night watch service.. No sleepovers after watch night service.. No mamak after watch night service.. Nothing exciting to do..

However, that wasn't the case for all Adelaide-ians, as Glenelg was hyped with much activity, and that would include.. MANY drunk people.. Lotsa beer.. LOTSA people.. a live band.. LOTSA pretty girls.. and FIREWORKS! However, as i wasn't allowed to stay till countdown, i only experienced an hour of what Glenelg is like on New Year's eve!!!! and i must say.. I enjoyed it!!!!

It has been a month and four days since i last updated my blog...

Whats been happening?

Well......

I have 31 days left before my finals...

I have 3 major assignments to hand in... 2 of which are done... and 1 which needs a fair bit of work...

I seriously NEED to STUDY...

I had this.... nightmare a couple of days ago... that I didn't do well and wasn't accepted into any uni... and was such a failure, disappointment and embarrassment... I studied 3 chapters of biology the next day... And got an assignment started... HAHAHAH... maybe it is good to get such nightmares...

I was reading my bible this morning... and it was so good... Kinda felt like i was chillin with God.. I mean.. it was just a different experience... like... you know sometimes when you spend time with God... it can be intense... and sometimes its just you know... relaxed... sometimes it is encouraging... sometimes it is inspiring...yah... this time was different... very different... it was... FUN... I mean... I'm not saying spending time with God isn't fun... it was just a different kind of fun... I find hard to explain in words... you've just gotta feel me here... and work with me... :D

It was like hanging with a group of girlfriends at a shopping mall... or a sleepover... hahahhah... For some reason this morning i was in a very 'tickled' mood... You know how you have those days where everything just tends to be funny? Even when it isn't funny? Well.. yah.. and so as i was reading my bible.. it was in that mood... read some funny stuff in the bible which really was good and i needed it but i looked at it in a funny way and it stuck with me.. Not in a funny mocking way... It hit me and i needed to hear it...or read it... AND it stuck... It was just a fun morning with God... hahahah... i know that sounds strange... but it was... Even thinking about it now makes me laugh... I reckon God had a pretty good morning today~!!!!!!!!!! hahahah... I sure did...

You know what I find difficult? Waking up in the morning... on a 16-18 degree spring morning... I mean... waking up itself is difficult... but with weather like that... The difficulty level is escalated greatly!!! The bed is just somehow always more comfortable... it is warm and cosy...you are in the perfect position... the hair is off your face... everything is just right... until... then stupid alarm clock rings... and you know you have to drag yourself out of bed using up the entire effort quota of the day!!!!!

It is more difficult than saying no to a plate of warm sticky date pudding... and is more difficult than saying no to a plate of pork... specifically siew yok in wing sun's case!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm rambling on... think i need sleep... Need to wake up early again tomorrow... Should get back into the habit... school starts Monday... *groans*

I've been sitting here since 7pm.. From sending an email out before starting my work.. To watching the moon because it is the Lunar Eclipse.. Then to watching Idol till 830pm.. Then to chatting.. and blog surfing..

Everything I could possibly get done.. except the darn 800 word essay.. Except the biology prac that i should be looking at.. Except the Business Major Assignment that i should start writing out.. Except the Child Studies Special Study i should be working on..

my bible reading adventure~!!

It was about 1 in the morning and it had been a good long day..

I opened the bible and wasn't too sure what to read or where to start reading.. Well.. You know how at the back of bibles.. well okay my bible has this thingo at the back of it and its called 'Extreme Index'.. and it goes through alphabetically about the issues in life.. (it is a teens bible) and so.. it has stuff like.. abuse.. acceptance.. actions.. advice.. angels.. anger.. and it gives you books and verses in the bible that address the specific issues lah!! phew.. hahaha..

So anyway.. I decided to look at Sin and Forgiveness.. So as i was reading a couple of verses and that.. I read in Leviticus 26:18-21 and God was saying how much He hates sin and what His punishment for sin was and that.. and i was like.. you know.. WOoo hoOo!! Pretty freaky..

Then i went on to Romans 3:23-24 and Job 9:2 and how it talks about us becoming saved and you know.. we have a NEW heart but we still have a sinful nature..and so we're dealing with a sinful nature not a sinful heart which i thought was pretty cool.. and also just how by God's grace we are forgiven and we definitely do not deserve His grace and forgiveness.. but He does anyway..

So it was cool..

then i went on to Psalm 135:6 and this was really exciting..
It says:
The Lord does what he pleases, in heaven and on earth, in the seas and the deep oceans.

And so i thought.. Cool.. okay.. what has that got to do with sin?? I mean.. when i read that.. i immediately think of okay God.. you are King.. you do what You want.. and You are God lah.. Cool.. But then i read what the 'Extreme Index' had to say about it and I was completely blown away..

Its interpretation is: 'Our sin does not disturb God's plans...'

Now that totally blew me away.. Like.. i mean of course we don't continuously sin and think thats cool.. but just the fact that the verse was looked at in that context is sooooo WOW..

I just sat on my bed and scribbled notes in my journal and in my bible because i was very amazed at just how it was looked at.. It was a great great relief that I knew my stupid ways and my stupid sinful nature wouldn't get in the way of what God wants to do with my life.. but i also was in awe of just how much the bible has to offer..I mean..okay i am supposed to know that by now.. but really.. time and time again when i read my bible..God shows me something that just leaves me speechless.. but i find myself giving in to my laziness and just not forcing and teaching myself to be disciplined and to allow God to leave me speechless more frequently..

In that 15 minutes.. i had a new revelation.. It might not seem like anything to you.. but I needed it for that time and God answered me.. and I was in awe.. How come i can't discipline myself to read my bible for 15 minutes everyday when it really is so inspiring and continues to leave me speechless?????????????

the devil really has it easy with me.. sigh.. I give in sooooo easily to distraction like the TV.. or books.. or INTERNET.. or FOOD.. and just giving in to my laziness.. I am going to work really hard and I am going to make the devil have to think really hard of ways to get me distracted because I want to make my God proud of me..

Yesterday, i finished term 2 of year 12.. It is so scary thinking about how many days i have left of school and how many days i have left to study for my final year exam.. And then counting down the days to results and then counting down the days to Uni.. It is soooooooo scary.. hhaha.. And at the same time really really exciting.. Can hardly believe i am going to be done with schooling.. I remember when i was in standard one.. In my little..LITTLE blue uniform.. i totally admired the standard sixes.. they were HUGE and cool.. i never never imagined myself getting to that point.. I always remember saying to myself.. Id die before i am that old.. ahhahahah.. i know... how skewed my perception was.. It just seemed impossible to become that old!! hahahah.. Now.. in my BIG blue uniform.. i am amazed at how life has changed and where i am today.. and the things i understand and the things i have seen.. It is soo unbelievable!!

Ive got 4 days to study and then I am off to camp :D Back on Saturday at mindnight.. Then its Sunday and i have my English paper on Monday and my Biology paper on Wednesday.. Am really worried about the biology paper.. Really really need to be studying.. hahah.. Sigh..

Can't wait for Rose to come.. She had to set a date with me.. I thought i was gonna be able to have her all the time.. Considering she comes all the way from Malaysia.. But guess not.. HAHHAHA :D

It is funny.. I decided not to do any work today or any studying today because i want a bit of a break and I'll start studying on Monday.. have the whole day to study.. which i should utilize wisely.. I slept in till 1 this afternoon and then i cleaned the house a little bit and helped mum cook lunch then ate and played diner dash with my brother and watched 'our America' and decided to use the internet.. In 15 minutes, i am already bored.. But when i do have work to do and should be doing work without getting distracted.. i am doing everything else but my work..

Sigh.. i am so over reading blogs.. Kinda gave up on that.. hahah.. Well if i start, i am sure id be hooked.. Updating my blog is such a chore now.. :D

hahahahahahah... "LIFE is so much bigger than what we give it credit for"... hahahhaha..

Joey arrives real sooon! Wish i could drive and we could go out and hang out tonight.. Doubt will see her tomorrow either.. I am at central and she'll be at city.. As you can tell i am really just rambling on..

How was fire up?? Heard some good responses?? :D :D We have michael rowan for camp.. It is going to be so good.. I am really excited.. I was telling a friend last night that God has been WOW.. and i love WOW.. but at this camp.. I am really wanting A LOT A LOT more than WOW.. I am soo excited about what God is going to do for me..and for the other chicks.. and guys too..

God is sooooo amazing lah really.. i really do not deserve His love or His grace and His mercy.. but time and time again he never fails to amaze me!!!!

The other day.. i was on the bus on the way back from the plaza.. and i was sitting behind this guy.. he was soooooooooooooooooooo smelly.. i bet you.. he hasn't showered since winter started.. it is DISGUSTING!! I was about to puke all over him.. It was BAD.. Real bad.. I don't understand how people can go a day without showering.. Even if i do not 'feel' dirty, the fact is i know that i am.. And what totally leaves me speechless, is how GIRLS can go a day AND MORE without showering.. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! They need God.. They really do!! :D :D :D

It has been raining really really heavily here.. The wind is unbelievable.. We had assembly yesterday and the wind was blowing all the rain in and we were all wet and the chairs were being blown away and the sound system was just ruined!! hahahha.. Out door assembly!! you've gotta love them!!

Well.. just a really quick update..

I have 2 weeks of school left for this term.. With 2 major assignments due.. and 1 minor assignment due.. I have exams on the 14th and the 16th of next month.. Rose arrives on the 14th.. i am sooooooooooooooooooooooo excited.. hahaha.. :D Camp is on the 12th-14th.. which is also REALLY exciting!! I need God so much!! Michael Rowan is going to be unbelievable!!!

Nicci needs to be disciplined and stop allowing herself to get distracted and work hard to do well..

Mummy and Daddy get back from malaysia/rwanda in about 22 hours?? Cant believe how quickly TWO and a HALF WEEKS have gone by.. I would say i succeeded as being parent :D :D :D hhahaha.. nah.. not really..

I watched italian job this week.. and i really really enjoyed it.. i know.. OLD.. but hey.. i wasn't born yet when the movie was made :D :D

As you can tell.. i am really just rambling the random things that pop up in my head at 10am on a wednesday morning with child studies waiting to get done.. The internet is by far the most successful distraction!!

School tech shed is FREEZING.. but when you have the heater turned on.. it gets too hot and barely breathable.. (if thats how you spell it)

It is a wet Sunday evening here in Adelaide, Australia. The next 2 - 3 hours or so would be spent in church and the hours after that would be spent getting ready for the routined life of a year 12 student. GAH.. I am really dreading it.

This means...

NO MORE late, late nights doing... NOTHING...
NO MORE waking up after 12 in the afternoon...
NO MORE movie marathons...
NO MORE pictionary hang outs...
NO MORE LAZING around doing NOTHING... this is pretty much the only thing I did ALL holiday... Did I mention it was great? Well, it was GREAT!!!
NO MORE time to spend reading blogs...
NO MORE hours of chattin online...
NO MORE hanging on the phone till the wee hours of the morning...

NO MORE... for the next 11 weeks...

This also means...

Staying up LATE finishing assignments...
Back to the boring routine of school life...
Back to the usual conversations like..."did you finish your bio prac?"...or..."have you written that 800 word report?"...or..."have you handed in your drama text response draft?"...or..."when is our business studies test?"...
Back to working hard and rushing to finish the never ending truck load of this thing called SCHOOL WORK...what JOY...

People have been telling me to treassure the next few months, because in about 6 months,I will officially be done with high school... Goodnesss... It really is hard to believe...

I was reading a friends blog, another holiday past time.. He was talking about being child-like in our faith..

To quote him,

Am I worth all that trouble? Am I really living up to my worth? Shucks, am I disappointing Him again? Too filthy to be hugged by Him? Too smelly to be embraced? NEVER!!! shouts a friend at my face, He ain’t looking for a perfect heart, there can never be one. He is looking for an obedient one, and one that is willing to be used by Him.

Last week wasn't easy for me. I messed up pretty bad..AGAIN.. and i hated myself for it.. I hated the fact that i had asked God over and over again to forgive me, and to give me another chance, and He always did.. but i could not even keep to my part of the bargain and live pleasing to Him..

I messed up again last week and i really felt as though i could not ask for forgiveness again, I felt exactly as how my friend had said it.. and I walked around the house feeling absolutely disgusted with myself for not being strong enough and messing up AGAIN..

However, i had friends remind me over and over again that God sees the heart.. a heart that wants to do right and wants to please Him, a heart that wants to be obedient to the word of God, a heart that wants to work at doing what is pleasing unto Him.. Someone that is willing to be used by God..

Anyway, as i read my bible and worked on the mistakes that i had made and coming before God and asking Him to make me pure and Holy before Him, I couldn't help but tell Him how much I love Him and how much i really really really want to do right in everything I do.. And i realized it is because i love Him so much that i want to work at doing my life right and living according to His word..

My God gave up everything for me.. EVERYTHING.. He gave His ONLY son to die such a horrible death for me and for you.. The least I could do, is owe Him my life..and to live for Him whole-heartedly..
I owe God living right..
I owe God loving Him right..
I owe God the highest praise..
I owe God my time..
I owe God being disciplined so that i can study His word and get to KNOW Him..
I owe God everything..

I love my God so much.. I love Him with all my heart.. I want to make Him happy.. I want to have Him say He is proud of me.. I want Him to say, "well done my faithful servant"..

Doesn't mean I wont mess up... Doesn't mean I will have everything together all the time.. It only shows me how much more I NEED my God to lead me and guide me... I want Him to fix my attitude.. and my character.. I want him to craft me in to the young lady I am meant to be..

Psalms 139: 7-10

boring week

So right, one entire week of holidays have gone by.. What have i done? NOTHING..
Nothing productive like school work i mean.. Ive been so LAZY.. Even sitting at home doing absolutely nothing is better than picking up my biology book and starting on ANY essay..

I have so much school work to finish by the end the holidays.. which by the way, ends in 2 weeks.. I will be in so much trouble if i don't motivate myself to start somewhere and SOOON..

Ive found that since coming back from Malaysia early this year, ive discovered a new love for sleeping!! All i wanna do is SLEEP.. And thats exactly what ive been doing all week.. Been sleeping for more than 10 hours.. Been waking up at 12pm everyday.. Waking up..watching tele..spending many hours on the internet..occasionally going out..usually only to blockbuster to rent more dvd's to waste more of my precious time away in front of the tele.. Its been a relatively boring week except for certain people who make it so special, but even though its boring, its better then having to get up at 7am and spending the whole day in school!!! ANY DAY!! :D :D

Nicci really really really needs to start her school work.. GAH.. I hate this lazy, lethargic feeling already..

Yesterday was a really good day... Went to church in the morning, then we came back home and played pictionary.. Lynn was hilarious.. NO.. wait.. Yun's drawing of her leaping frog with a VERY long tongue was even more hilarious!!!

We decided to stay home and not go for evening service to watch Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gham.. i know.. i know.. stop shaking your head.. Sucked into watching this movie with my mum and I were, Sun, Gracie, David, Zie, Ben, Misha and Ryan. By the end of the movie, mum and I had tears streaming down our faces!!! Even though its was our 10th time watching it.. I definitely recommend this show!!!!! :P :P :P

We then headed to the girls house to eat some Chinese vinegar dish.. :D
We then played pictionary and taboo till one in the morning!! It was so much fun!! For pictures, check out Kelsey's blog.

It was good good fun..

It was a really good day.. This morning, i woke up at 1 in the afternoon.. I felt so LAZY! GAH.. I actually set my alarm clock for 9.45am.. what were the chances of waking up... HAHHAH!!

There is about 8 days left of term one before a 3 week 'holiday'. This term has gone by so so quickly it scares me. This year so far has been nothing like last year. It has been a very very pressurized term... The work load is crazy.

Phew... *does the wiping sweat off forehead action* Ive finally handed in my business studies assignment :D :D in Fat sister ultimates words "huhuhuhuhuhuhh".....

Should probably get busy on my other assignments that are piled up... but i think since i've worked hard... i deserve some 'blogging time'...

We had a biology excursion today to the Science Education Centre.. We are currently learning about DNA and Genetic mutations and all that gear.. the best part about today, was that we had the privilege of extracting green pea DNA!!! I have it in my fridge now... it's great!!!

Anyway, i got my blood test results back. Thank God it isn't anything too serious. My initial iron level was 62g..which meant i would have had to go for a blood transfusion...thats pretty scary...

It was tested again and my iron level is 72g... hahah... which is relatively low compared to what it should be... therefore, i need to add red meat into my diet... and also have a daily intake of iron pills for the next 3 months... SIGH... guess i should be thankful it isn't nothing too serious...

Other than that... this week has just been really busy...

Insecurities...

Insecurities...

I have many insecurities... some clearly more apparent than others...

I am sure all of us struggle with how we look, how we dress, what we wear, what bag we carry, how we smile, what make-up we use perhaps, what mobile we use, what style we wear our hair, where we stay, our weight, our height, our siblings, our parents, even who our friends talk to, or who we befriend...(some of course not as petty)...etc...

The list could go on forever, it's funny how at one stage you seem to have overcomed certain insecurities and have managed to move on and accept the differences and you know...but then, it surfaces again at a different level. Once again, you're struggling with little petty issues like, "my nose is so big", or..."my lips are retarded" or..."im not cool enough" or... "i wish i was more witty", or..."i wish i was more sporty".... Or.."i wish i was more talented"...or..."I WISH I WAS SLIM and SLENDER"... again..the list goes on...however, all these insecurities seem to surface at another level... hmmmm... Sometimes i really wonder... WHY??????????

However, i have come to realize one thing.

It is when I am so secure in God that my insecurities seem easier to handle and deal with...
Then, what people say don't seem to matter too much... My confidence lies in my Creator. I also realize, when you are confident and able to love yourself, people around you want to know how one can be confident and happy without being 'perfect'. (However perfect is perceived)
It is amazing what God can do and wants to do with me and my imperfections.
Thank You so much Daddy...

I need to learn to continuously build my confidence in God or else, I'd be a very broken young lady...
